"AzScienceNet: current status, opportunities and prospects for development of" scientific-practical seminar will be held on January 31 at the Institute of Information Technology is in progress. For this purpose the next meeting of the organizing committee of the institute was held.

Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technologies, academician Rasim Aliguliyev noted that AzScienceNet-computer network (SCN) plays an important role in the integration of Azerbaijani science to world science.

The scientist noted that the purpose of the event is to inform about AzScienceNet existing infrastructure of scientific and educational institutions, services, high computing and memory capabilities, role in the development of e-science, roaming and cloud services, network monitoring and security, and the integration of the international scientific environment etc.

Then the head of the department of the institute Tahmasib Fataliyev presented the action plan in preparation for the seminar. Then he gave detailed information about the organization of the event and the state of preparations.

Views exchange related to organizational, technical and other issues taken into account in action plan, it was decided to carry out appropriate measures.
