Department No. 17 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held its following seminar.
PhD student of the institute Leyla Mammadova made a presentation on the "Analysis of social media aspects.” Social media is an interactive environment and broad-based platform, which enables people to express opinions without time and space limitation, and provides unlimited use of the multimedia features of the Internet, she added. The first appeared in 1990, social media has developed rapidly with the establishment of "web 2.0" technology, she stressed. Note that, the first social network on the Internet was created in 1995 by Randy Conrad.
Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS, acad. Rasim Alguliyev expressed his opinions on the presentation and recommended to increase the capacity of the research using research studies of the centers, scientists, and scientific journals. As a result, conceptual approaches and views should be put forward, scientist stressed.
Afterwards, PhD student of the Institute Vusala Gurbanova made a presentation on the "Development of methods and algorithms for the creation of electronic textbooks" and reported on the prospects of cooperation between the Institute of Information Technology and the Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland). The speaker gave detailed information about the scholarship programs and projects offered by the Dublin Institute of Technology and about the rules to apply them.
Finally, discussions on the topic were held, questions were answered.
