On April 26, senior research fellow of Kazakhstan Institute of Information and Computing Technology Information and Computing Technology, Professor Ravil Muhamedyev visited the Institute of Information Technology. The goal of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the institute and to discuss the cooperation prospects between the two institutions.
Professor Ravil Muhamedyev gave detailed information about main activities of Kazakhstan Institute of Information and Computing Technology, ICT in the studies of renewable energy, the use of machine learning in geophysical studies of uranium deposits, and about three-dimensional visualization methods in molecular biology, and about semantic networks of information and communication technologies.
Technical Director of the Institute Dr. Rashid Alakbarov mentioned the role of strengthening international scientific cooperation of each research institution for the integration of science and education. He spoke about the studies conducted at the institute in various areas of information technology and information society.
Then there was an exchange of views, numerous questions were answered.
Then the guest got acquainted with material-technical base of the institute, its innovative conditions, and modern technologies.
The guest was also informed about the activities of Training and Innovation Centre (TIC), which had been holding doctoral examinations in computer science since 2003, according to the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Presidium of ANAS.
He also visited E-Library Center equipped with the advanced technical facilities.
At the end, the parties discussed the measures to be taken to strengthen the cooperative relations between Kazakhstan Institute of Information and Computing Technology and the Institute of Information Technology.
