The Institute of Physics of ANAS hosted the following bureau meeting of Department of Physics, Mathematics and Technical Sciences of ANAS.

First, members of the department congratulated the head of department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences, professor Masuma Mammadova on being awarded the “Honorary diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan” for her contribution to the development of science in Azerbaijan.

Bureau members and directors of the institutes participated in the meeting. Acting academician-secretary of DPMTS of ANAS, director of the Institute of Physics, corresponding member of ANAS Nazim Mammadov opened and informed about the issues on the agenda.

The projects submitted to the contest for complex research programs announced by Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan were discussed.

Then, PhD in technical sciences Rashid Alakbarov was approved to the position of Technical Director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, and PhD in chemistry Khagani Mammadov to the position of head of the Radiochemistry laboratory at the Institute of Radiation Problems.

Furthermore, the attendees discussed the certification results held at the Institute of Physics of ANAS, and the development issues of the Education Department of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS.
