The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held a meeting dedicated to the results of Wiki center's activities  for 2015 and discussed a plan of action for 2016. Director of the institute, academician Rasim Alguliyev, related employees of the institute and Viki-Center officials attended the event.

Note that Viki Center was established in 2014 by the decision of the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences. The center aims at protecting the national interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan in  Wikipedia detecting real and potential sources of threat, uploading the contents covering historical and contemporary realities, cultural and spiritual values in Wikipedia, as well as training theoretical and practical lessons for research, scientists and experts in various fields, promoting Wikipedia among the citizens and involving them in performing in Wikipedia in accordance with the interests of Azerbaijan.
