On May 29, Dissertation Board held an assembly at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

The event was opened by the board chairman, academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the institute Rasim Alguliyev gave information about the agenda of the meeting. The event was dedicated to the defense of two theses to receive the degree of Doctor of Science in Technology in 3338.01 - "System analysis, control and information processing".

First, the scientific secretary of the Dissertation Board, PhD Ramiz Shikhaliyev introduced the thesis to the board members.

Then Mehrdad Hashemi brought to the attention to the thesis on “Developing parallel algorithms for optimal solutions in gas-lift process”, its urgency and objectives.

Later, the applicant answered numerous questions.

Opinions of the Scientific supervisors of the dissertation - academician Fikrat Aliyev and PhD Navazi Ismayilov were voiced on the thesis.

R. Shikhaliyev informed about the thesis and a synopsis of comments briefly.

Official opponents of the dissertation – Dr. Professor Mahammad Ahmadov, and PhD Taleh Asgarov made speeches and expressed the importance of the study, its scientific innovation, suggestions and comments.

Drs., Professors Alakbar Aliyev, Javanshir Mammadov and Vidadi Musayev, and Dr., Associate Professor Nadir Aghayev, Dr. Ramiz Aliguliyev, PhDs Rashid Alakbarov, Zarifa Jabrayilova, Firudin Aghayev, PhD, Associate Professor Alovsat Aliyev and others participated in the discussion.

After the final speech of the applicant the secret ballot was held, and it was decided to apply to the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of AR to receive the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.
