Employees of the Institute of Information Technology attended the TNC25 conference 2025-06-24 13:00:00 / CONFERENCES

A delegation of several employees of the MSERA Institute of Information Technology participated in the TNC25 conference, one of the world's most prestigious and large-scale events in the field of research and educational networks. The delegation was headed by the Vice-President of ANAS, Director General of the Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev. The delegation included the head of the department of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Ramiz Aliguliyev, head of the AzScienceNet Network Operation Center, Babak Nabiyev, and chief specialist Konul Aliyeva.

TNC25 took place in Brighton, UK, from 9–13 June 2025 and hosted by Jisc, the National Research and Education Network of the United Kingdom. By bringing together decision-makers, networking and security specialists, identity and access management experts, researchers, academics and students, TNC offers a unique collaborative experience.

This year the conference brought together more than 900 scientists and specialists from 72 countries. Within the framework of TNC25, side meetings and  sessions were held on topics such as the application of artificial intelligence in research and education environments, network automation, cybersecurity, scientific cloud infrastructure, Trust & Identity, Open Science and e-infrastructures, quantum computing and communication technologies, big data, digital sovereignty and inclusive technologies, prospects for cooperation between research and education networks, and interactive exhibitions were demonstrated.

The Azerbaijani delegation participated in discussions on cooperation opportunities with representatives of research and education networks of member countries in a number of sessions held within the framework of TNC25. During the discussions, it was noted that the experience gained within the framework of the event will contribute to the integration of our country's science and education infrastructure into the international environment, and it was emphasized that the innovative approaches presented are of great importance in terms of expanding the activities of the AzScienceNet network and strengthening its infrastructure.

Academician Rasim Alguliyev participated in the high-level "CEO track" session organized for heads of national research and education networks within the framework of the conference. At the meeting, views on digital transformation, artificial intelligence and quantum technologies, as well as prospects for regional and international cooperation were exchanged.
