A meeting with teachers and students of Baku State University (BSU) was held at the Institute of Information Technology. The meeting was attended by students  of BSU's Applied mathematics and cybernetics, Mechanics-mathematics faculties, as well as SABAH groups.

First, Rector of BSU, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Elchin Babayev got acquainted with the institute's working conditions, material and technical base and innovative projects implemented here. The vice-president of ANAS, general director of the institute, academician Rasim Alguliyev said that scientific researches are carried out in the institute, which include the IV Industrial Revolution and the global challenges of the world, national and strategic interests of our country.

The rector of the university also got acquainted with the activity of the institute's AzScienceNet Network Operation Center. Head of the center Babak Nabiyev informed about AzScienceNet NOC, DATA center and services. Also, discussions were held on the installation of EaPConnect services (eduroam, eduGAIN, etc.) at Baku State University via AzScienceNet. 

Then the meeting continued in the conference hall of the institute. Academician Rasim Alguliyev, who noted the importance of the measures implemented in the sphere of the integration of science and education in Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of training new personnel in higher schools in the fields that meet the requirements of world science and modern challenges. He said that the main mission of science is to distribute the acquired knowledge, to transfer it to education, and at the same time to train intellectual human resources that are adequate to the policy implemented by the President.

Then the rector of Baku State University, Elchin Babayev, made a speech and stated that the cooperation between the two institutions should be further expanded, and the students of the university studying in the relevant field should effectively use the facilities of the institute. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the Rector expressed his belief that the use of the intellectual potential and experience of prestigious scientific institutions will greatly contribute to the training of highly qualified personnel.
