The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held an online seminar on the possibilities of the electronic scientific library “e-library.ru”, the existing problems of the institute's representation in this library and their solutions.

Nargiz Abdullayeva, an employee of the department No. 12, made a report on the possibilities of the electronic scientific library "e-library.ru" and gave detailed information about the rules of registration in this online information resource. It includes many services of the scientific database "e-library.ru" and their functions, including magazines, books, organizations, authors, etc. types of searches and rules of their use. He also informed the seminar participants about the Russian Science Citation Index.

Then another employee of the department, dissertation of the institute and senior researcher Narmin Adigozalova made a report entitled "Institute of Information Technology in the electronic scientific library" e-library.ru ". Entering the name of the institute in the scientific database "e-library.ru", he noted that when conducting a search query for the organization, it is possible to see the number of articles published in the scientific database by researchers working in this scientific institution.

The speaker said that the scientific works of the institute's scientists have been published in the electronic scientific library e-library.ru since 2004. He said that the number of articles of each author, h-index, number of references, etc. can be found.

He also presented graphs showing the distribution of scientific works by years, directions, authors, journals, references in the search section.

In conclusion, the vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Rasim Alguliyev noted the importance of paying special attention to the issue of identification of the institute and its employees in scientific bases in different languages. The scientist stressed the importance of expanding cooperation with relevant organizations in the global information space and benefiting from the services provided.

He noted that the assessments on the issues of representation in various scientific information resources of the academic institute played an important role in increasing the efficiency of the scientific activity of the institution. In this regard, he recommended regular monitoring of indicators in the relevant direction.
