As reported, on October 27-29, 2021, the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS will host an international conference on "Problems of cyber security of industrial management systems" with the support of NATO. The three-day event will be attended by leading scientists and experts from the United States, Germany, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Turkey, Hungary, Estonia and Georgia.
The next online meeting was held at the institute to discuss preparations for the international conference to be held with the support of NATO.
The meeting was attended by Vice President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Head of the Cyber Security Department of the Polish National Nuclear Research Center, Co-Director of the project, Professor Jacek Gajewski and relevant staff from both sides.
The composition and responsibilities of the relevant working groups consisting of representatives of both sides were discussed at the meeting. The scenario for the online opening of the conference, the initial lists of key guests and speakers will be clarified.
The online event also reviewed the initial draft of the conference website and discussed the composition of the editorial team to prepare the conference proceedings for publication in the NATO Science Series. It was decided to intensify online discussions on the organization of the international event and hold separate online meetings of the technical support group.
Speaking at the meeting, Academician R. Alguliyev stressed the strategic importance of ensuring the cyber security of such systems, given that industrial management systems form the basis of the country's critical infrastructure. The academician expressed confidence that the country's leading scientists in this field will contribute to the conference.
Academician R. Alguliyev stressed the importance of expanding joint cooperation between the two organizations organizing the conference.
