Due to the requirements and recommendations of the ICANN, on October 11, cryptography switches have been successfully modified in our country to protect the security of domain names.
According to the Center for Electronic Security at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the system was monitored continuously for 48 hours after the update and there was no problem with entering any users.
The cryptographic switches that are created in 2010 are responsible for the integrity of the security and Internet addressing system. The operation took place on October 12 for the first time in the world.
According to ICANN, short-term problems were reported in several countries within the first 24 hours following the switch-over, but they were soon resolved.
