The first voyage of a hydrogen fuel train in the World 2018-09-18 11:00:00 / INTERESTING INFORMATION

The world's first hydrogen fuel cell train Coradia iLint performed its test flight in Bremerferda (Lower Saxony land) on September 16, writes Deutsche Welle.

During the first trip personally observed the Minister of Economy and Transport of Lower Saxony Bernd Althusman. On the roof of the train there is a tank with hydrogen fuel and a fuel cell. It converts the energy of hydrogen into an electric current without damaging the environment. The train is able to reach speeds of up to 140 km per hour.

At one gas station Coradia iLint can overcome up to 1 thousand km. Even today the train will leave on a standard route and will connect Bremerfer with Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven and Buxtehude.
