On December 12, the following meeting of the Dissertation Board was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

The board Chairman was academician secretary, director of the institute, academician Rasim Aliguliyev, and the deputy chairman was the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alakbar Aliyev.

Alakbar Aliyev informed about the issues on the agenda. The meeting was dedicated to the defense of the thesis on the “Development of methods and algorithms for the synthesis of intelligent monitoring system of national domain names” by Rana Gasimova nominated the degree of PhD in the specialty 3338.01 - "System analysis, control and information processing".

Scientific Secretary of the Dissertation Board, PhD in technical sciences Ramiz Shikhaliyev gave detailed information regarding the applicant's personal documents. He noted that R.Gasimova graduated from"Automation and Computer Engineering" faculty, Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute in 1985 on "Computer Engineering" specialty. Currently, she is working as a chief sector at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Afterward R.Gasimova presented in the thesis on the “Development of methods and algorithms for the synthesis of intelligent monitoring system of national domain names”.

Later, the candidate answered the questions of the board members; they expressed opinions on the dissertation work.

Official opponents Dr. Ramiz Aliguliyev and PhD Lala Karimova stressed the importance of the thesis.

Speaking of the thesis Doctor Nadir Aghayev, PhDs Rashid Alakbarov, Ghazanfar Orujov, PhD in economics, associate professor Alovsat Aliyev and others made speeches on the important scientific results achieved from the research.

After the final statement of the applicant a secret ballot was held by the Board members, and it was proposed to apply to the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of AR for the granting the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Technology to Rana Gasimova.
