On August 23, Chinese company DJI officially introduced a new folding drone Mavic 2, which received a number of improvements in comparison with the previous generation of the line.
As The Verge writes, drones will be produced in versions of Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom, the main difference between which is the camera used. The Mavic 2 Pro is equipped with a camera developed by Hasselblad with a 1-inch matrix of 20 Mp resolution. The Zoom version is equipped with a proprietary DJI camera with a smaller 12-megapixel matrix. This 24-mm camera has a double optical zoom. Both versions of the drone support video in 4K format and have 8 GB of internal memory.
The new drone received an improved obstacle avoidance system, the sensors of which are located on all sides of the drone. The battery provides the Mavic 2 to half an hour's flight, and the maximum speed of the drone can reach 72 km / h. Also in the company note that the drone is distinguished by improved aerodynamics and reduced noise level of electric motors.
