The Israeli startup Chakratec introduced its charging station, capable of replenishing the battery of an electric vehicle in ten minutes.

General Motors attracted Chakratec to the implementation of the large-scale task set before the company - to launch 20 models of electric vehicles by 2023, ria.ru reports.

Currently, one of the key issues for any manufacturer of electric vehicles is the time required for charging. Even at the best gas stations, it takes at least 40 minutes to replenish the discharged battery. For drivers who are used to spending five minutes at a gas station, it's too long.

"The current batteries are not environmentally friendly and quite quickly fail, like batteries in the phone or laptop," - quotes the publication of Ben-David. Charging station based on Chakratec technology, on the other hand, can work up to 20 years and will be several times cheaper in operation, he says.

The Israeli startup already offers its services in Europe
