Walmart Corporation has patented autonomous robots-bees that can pollinate plants like bees.
Drones will move the pollen from one plant to another using sensors and cameras to detect the blooming areas. Apparently, Walmart hopes to go into agriculture and strengthen control over food products.
It should be noted that Walmart is not the first organization dealing with robots. In recent years, scientists have been looking for ways to stop the decline of bees that dust up at least one-third of all the products consumed by humans. Researchers from Harvard University have introduced the first robot-bees in 2013. At present, they fly, sit on the surface and swim in the water. However, unlike them, robots-bees, described in the patent of Walmart, will be managed remotely and will be able to detect the dust particles automatically.
