Human internal organs can be printed by 3D-printers 2014-11-28 17:45:40 / CONFERENCES

Head of Department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS Shakir Mehtiev made a report on 3D-printers at the institute seminar. He spoke about the development history of 3D printers and noted that these devices were invented, in 1986. They could develop 3D-model of information on computer. Initial materials used during 3D printing were granulation and powders, he added.

3D printer printers are used in medicine, mainly in modeling of damaged parts during cranial traumas, in the recovery of salts of bones, as well as in other dental problems, he mentioned. Besides, the manufacturers of these devices are going to “print” internal human organs.

According to him, discovery of these printers enable people to save time, but may lead to the closure of factories and plants, as well as decrease in the number of work places.

Note that the conference on innovative 3D printing technologies will be held in Baku, February 12, 2015.
