In one of the cities of China a mobile application that accommodates eight documents was launched.
Chinese people living in Wuhan, now can use a special application on the smartphone instead of identity documents.
The application, developed by the Public Security Bureau, contains 8 documents: ID-card, national passport, entry permit to Hong Kong and Macau, passport of a resident of mainland China, permission to enter Taiwan, registration of households, residence permit and driver's license.
Wuhan became the first city in China to test the electronic identification of citizens on smartphones.
Citizens who move to Wuhan can re-register their residence directly through the application. The Bureau reports that since August 42 000 students have already passed the process of re-registration through the application.
To start using the service, you must specify an ID number in the application, and then go through the process of scanning the person.
The application can also be used when passing the driver's license examination, registration at the hotel or access to residential complexes.
