Researchers from the University of California, San Diego, have developed a "smart" ring that can detect chemical and biological hazards near the user.
According to naked-science.ru , the device consists of two main parts: the electrochemical sensor of the sensor detects concrete chemical compounds. Underneath it there is a mounting plate installed on the main electronics of the device. The Ring can process the data received and send them over the wireless network to the user's smartphone or computer. It has been optimized for detection of explosives and organophosphate nerve agents in liquid and vapour phase.
During the creation of the hoop, scientists have come to the conclusion that movable functional devices will be useful if they meet the aesthetic needs of people. For this reason, they decided to create a ring in the form of rings.
