About seven years ago to see the policeman in glasses of the added reality it was possible only in cinema or computer games. However, what only recently seemed fantastic, now becomes a reality thanks to the Microsoft HoloLens headset and Scene of Crime Application from Black Marble.
This program is designed to help law enforcement officers investigate crime scenes. By launching it on HoloLens, police can collect the evidence base with a contactless method, marking the evidence with virtual markers and thereby leaving them untouched. Subsequently, the Scene of Crime Application will allow investigators to "return" to the scene, even if in reality all evidence is already destroyed.
Another application developed by the Black Marble team for HoloLens is called Command and Control and is a mobile command center. It implies the use of augmented reality patrols on the streets. At the same time, the senior officer at the site will receive data about the location and employees and an image of what they see. In addition, the program involves the possibility of communicating employees with each other to coordinate actions and distribute emergency calls.
Applications Black Marble for HoloLens already passed the first tests in the police and earned rave reviews from the custody order. According to the police, such technologies will revolutionize their work.
