The company Panasonic presented at the exhibition IFA 2017, which these days is held in Berlin (Germany), a very interesting novelty - a robotic refrigerator.
Self-propelled unit is able to respond to voice commands. The dweller of the dwelling, for example, can call the refrigerator to himself, take necessary food or drinks and send the device back to a stationary position. The novelty is equipped with a set of sensors that help during the movement to avoid collisions with objects of the interior or collision with unexpectedly arisen obstacles, for example, on domestic animals.
The idea is to make life easier for older people who are difficult to move around, as well as for less mobile citizens.
While the robot-refrigerator exists only in the form of a prototype. Panasonic is now considering various versions of the self-propelled unit. In particular, one of the options can be the integration of the heating panel into the upper part of the housing for rapid heating of food.
In the Panasonic kitchen area, IFA 2017 also features a new inverter microwave oven with grill and steam, a powerful blender, a MK-F800 food processor, bread bakery with the ability to bake gluten-free bread and other novelties.
On the timing of receipt of the presented equipment on sale so far nothing has been reported.
