Scientists from the University of Madrid Carlos III now have the opportunity to quickly obtain three-dimensional models of the objects under study. Thanks to the microscope they created, they can see how, for example, the heart of a fish beats, and then receive a three-dimensional reconstruction of its contractions.

The development allows you to shoot up to 200 frames per second, thanks to which the device stands out favorably against the background of similar devices - the most modern devices of such a plan, according to scientists, are capable of making no more than five shots per second, hi-news.ru  reports. The device is equipped with four lasers, but their number can be increased to six. Thanks to these lasers, the device can illuminate cells of different types without having to change them each time it was required to observe another cell.

To create a three-dimensional model, the microscope takes pictures from different positions, so all lasers, cameras, filters and motors involved in this complex process are controlled by special software that regulates the operation of the device, which the developers call "QI-scope". According to scientists, their microscope will make it possible to study living organisms more effectively, without resorting to their killing.
