The next seminar of No. 1 department was held at the Institute of Information Technology. Senior research fellow of institute Hijran Gozalova delivered a report on topic  "Software Engineering and Data Science". Large-scale data processing, analysis and knowledge extracting from them forms the basis of Big Data conception, she noted.

According to the reporter, significant skills gained by Data Science program engineers allow to implement new projects on the basis of the executed projects in the era of Big Data.

"Big Data's analysis is the basis for the development of software of a number of projects"-  Mrs. Gozalova noted. By developing the exact interfaces to analyze Software forms functionality or tools of procedures.

Data Science supports software engineers in software development, more effective its  life cycle management, she noted.  

Software Engineers  conduct  the creation systems and software applications taking part in all stages from design to execution of the program, including testing and analysis of the program.

Currently,  Data Science has been used in Big Data collection, analysis, software development and others. "Data science" has been taught as an academic subject in  a number of leading universities since 2013.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
