The latest achievements of information technology and software engineering plays an important role in the formation of e-science. Through the use of open source software tools that are available in this area, it is possible to achieve effective c development of citizen science without time and financial loss.
These thoughts were expressed by the Colleague of institute Nargis Verdiyeva at the seminar of No. 3 Department.
Presenting a report on topic "program tools used in Citizen science " , N.Verdiyeva noted that citizen science is a scientific research conducted, in whole or in part, by amateur (or nonprofessional) scientists. Citizen science is sometimes described as "public participation in scientific research," participatory monitoring and participatory action research.
Speaking about the factors that characterize civil science N.Verdiyev said that these factors were characterized with broad spatial and temporal dimensions, large-scale data collection and research mechanisms developed at the highest level .
The speaker presented the tools that influence the development of civil science. For this purpose, "Google maps", "Google charts", "Fieldscope" services are used in social networking , data collection, storage processing facilities, visualization and analysis and latest achieves of software engineering are used in the creation of data bases and data management.
In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
