Self-driving taxis by 2020? 2017-04-10 19:14:09 / CONFERENCES

The global race to develop unmanned vehicles continues. Recently, Bosch, the largest manufacturer of household appliances and spare parts, and the "parent" Mercedes-Benz Daimler announced plans to create their own self-controlled cars by 2020. The alliance promises that by the specified deadline a fully autonomous and usable car in the urban environment will be ready. The technical capabilities of the UAV will not be lower than 4 in accordance with the scale developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers. Such devices can work practically in any weather and safely carry passengers in any traffic situation, belta.by  reports.

To create software, the alliance plans to involve the corporation nVidia and, possibly, Uber. Along the way, it is planned to develop the function of car sharing by several people in the city, to minimize congestion and to go around traffic jams, getting information about the situation on the road in the online mode.
