In 1865, the International Telegraph Union in Paris on May 17, 1932 founded the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has been called. The organization was founded in 2006 by the United Nations as World Telecommunication and Information Society Day was established.

 

This year is the Gold Partner of ITU Over the years, people all over the world, societies, nations and humanity as a whole, one of the areas most needed in the formation and development of the communication environment.

 

The main purpose of today's Internet and information and communication technologies (ICT) to the societies and countries is to help raise awareness about the possibilities.

 

Every year, large-scale events are held on the day of the announcement by the ITU and the exchange of views on a specific topic. This year the theme of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day "Telecommunications and ICT: innovation driving forces" have been identified.

 

It should be noted that this year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of ITU.
