One of the important scientific results obtained at the Institute of Information Technology in 2020 is the development of methods and algorithms for the synthesis of the optimal distribution infrastructure of mobile cloud resources.
Rashid Alakbarov, Deputy Director for Technologies,
Phd in technical sciences, Associate Professor, spoke about this research work during his speech at the online scientific seminar.
Alakbarov said that mobile users are downloaded to remote cloud servers via the Internet. This, in turn, causes delays in charging the network and consumes more power on the mobile device. Service quality (QoS) is low due to network overload.
According to R. Alakbarov, as a result, the problems that arise in mobile devices in solving problems that require large computing and memory resources were investigated. The issues of energy saving of mobile devices, resource limitations in mobile devices and elimination of network delays were analyzed. Solving the problems of mobile users in the cloudlets has led to an increase in the battery life of mobile devices. The reduction of delays in the network is shown by mathematical calculations.
At the same time, the study considered the selection of cloudlets that meet some of the requirements of the user.
It should be noted that, as a result of the research, 2 articles by Rashid Alakbarov, PhD in technical sciences, Associate Professor, were published in journals included in the authoritative Web of Science database.
Thus, the article "Method for effective use of cloudlet network resources" was published in the International Journal of Computer Network and Information Security, "Strategy for reducing delays and energy consumption in cloud-based mobile cloud computing". ("Strategy for reducing delays and energy consumption in cloudlet-based mobile cloud computing") was published in the International Journal of Wireless Networks and Broadband Technologies.
