This opinion was voiced by the vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliyev during the discussions on advanced technologies at the online scientific seminar dedicated to November 30 - International Information Security Day.
The academician said that the discussion of artificial intelligence technologies at the event dedicated to the International Information Security Day is not accidental. According to him, these technologies have become an important object of information security.
In his speech, the vice-president of ANAS stressed the special importance of artificial intelligence technologies, including unmanned aerial vehicles, in the victory of the brave Azerbaijani army.
“Azerbaijan should adopt special laws on institutional measures related to artificial intelligence technologies. Unmanned aerial vehicles intended for civilian circulation must be registered according to their weight, purpose and other parameters. A number of complex issues need to be investigated, such as the identity of the drone owner, the person responsible for its programming, the operation and maintenance of the facility. Owners of drones based on artificial intelligence must understand the responsibility for their use,”- R. Alguliyev said.
Noting that scientific research has been conducted in the relevant field in recent years, the director of the institute stressed the importance of further intensification and deepening of research in this area.
