A meeting with the delegation of AzEduNet and Enginet was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Deputy Director for Technology, Rashid Alakbarov,  the Head of International Relations Department, Ph.D. Babak Nabiyev,  administrator at AzScienceNet Tural Mustafayev, Ilgar Guliyev, Head of Sales and Marketing at AzEdunet, Teymur Hajiyev, Head of Public Relations, Ramil Suleymanov, Deputy Director of Enginet, Head of Public Relations Department Alina Khalafova took part at the event. 

R. Alakbarov noted that the computer network AzScienceNet consists of such network operations centers as Data Center, Internet Services, Network Security and AzScienceCERT. He noted that the AzScienceNet has joined Azerbaijan in 2016, joining GEANT, the largest electronic infrastructure that serves all science and education institutions across Europe.

R. Alakbarov noted that the proposed 1 Gbit / s Internet traffic was provided to AzEduNet at speeds of 700 Mbps, noting that up to 80% of the proposed 1Gbit / s traffic was used effectively.

The Deputy Director also provided information on the work done to increase the Internet speed to 3Gbit / sec and the backup line to 1Gbit / sec under the EapConnect project.

He also gave information on the preparation of the 5th Eastern Partnership E-Infrastructure Conference, EaPEC 2020 will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the prospects of long-term cooperation of AzScienceNet with AzEduNet and Enginet were discussed, questions were responded.
