A Japanese humanoid robot named Pepper on Tuesday spoke to members of the committee of the British Parliament. This is the first robot in history, which made a report in the British Parliament.
UK lawmakers watched with interest as Pepper, developed by the Japanese company Softbank Group, entered the meeting room and spoke in excellent English.
Pepper told lawmakers about the robot development project to help older people. The goal of the project is to reduce the burden on the health care system. Also, this project should help older people live independently, avoid loneliness and improve their quality of life.
