The company SpaceX announced who will be its first customer, who went on the Big Falcon Rocket (BFR) to fly around the natural satellite of the Earth.
During yesterday's event at SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, California, it was announced who would be the first customer of the company to fly around the moon with the new BFR system (including a rocket and a spaceship). The first space tourist SpaceX will be the Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa (Yusaku Maezawa), the founder of the online clothing store Zozotown.
In the space travel Maedzava, according to plans, should go in 2023. At the same time, he will not be the only BFR passenger - another six or eight artists from around the world will go with him to the 5-day expedition, including musicians, architects, fashion designers. Their flight also - in addition to their own - will pay Maedzawa; While the cost of future travel is not reported.
Among other things, Ilon Mask announced at the event some new details about the BFR, which is now being collected in Los Angeles. The 118-meter rocket will carry a ship called Big Falcon Ship (BFS), which can carry up to 100 people and 1,100 cubic meters of cargo. During the first tourist flight, however, the size of the crew will be minimal: free space is planned to be used for more resources (in case something goes wrong during the flight).
It is expected that BFR will be ready for ground testing approximately in 2019. Musk believes that the first unmanned flight of the BFR to Mars will take place approximately in 2022, and the first manned launches may take place two years later.
