Academician-secretary of ANAS acad. Rasim Alguliyev made report on “Organizing and holding of the first Congress of Azerbaijani scientists” in the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS dated November 5, 2014.

Report conducts that, decision was made on holding the first Congress of Azerbaijani scientists in a general meeting of ANAS on April 18, 2014. Congress aims at discussing the function and tasks of the science stemming out the requirements of the modern era and “Azerbaijan 2020: vision to the future” Development Concept in order to mobilize scientific capacity of Azerbaijan, to support government policy implemented in the direction of socio-economic and cultural development of the country, and to improve ties among researchers involved in educational, business and civil society sectors, including scientists living abroad.

Congress intended to be held on December 19, 2014 co-organized by the Ministry of Communication and Hi- Technologies and Ministry of Education.

For high-leveled organization of the congress special action plan has been developed by the Working group, prepared congress program and agenda.

The congress is expected to attend by influential Azerbaijani scientists functioning abroad, as well as delegates of the government, business sector and civil society.

Online convention broadcast of the congress, video-conferencing system for speeches and discussions are to be organized.

Finally, congress will be completed with artistic part.
