Boston Dynamics company trained a four-legged SpotMini robot, similar to a dog, to help its "relatives". As shown in the video, the "armless" mechanism calls for help from a relative machine that uses the "paw" manipulator to deftly grab the handle, opens the door and launches it inside.

Boston Dynamics was created in 1992 by a former professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mark Reiber. The company focused on realizing the boldest fantasies of defense customers from DARPA, the Pentagon research agency. Developed by her robots have repeatedly become the stars of YouTube, demonstrating the wonders of agility, stability and endurance.

Last summer, Boston Dynamics was bought by the Japanese company SoftBank. Previously, the developer of zoomorphic robots belonged to the holding Alphabet - the owner of Google. The company is actively developing under the wing of the Japanese: at the end of 2017 Boston Dynamics introduced an improved model SpotMini, metal "legs" and "trunk" which are covered with elegant plastic panels.

The robot is driven by electric motors, and some of its varieties are equipped with a long "claw", reminiscent of a snake head. The manipulator allows SpotMini to capture and move objects.
