Google released a stylish and simple Android-application, the task of which is to help users to answer one of the main questions: where does the traffic from the cellular operator of the Internet package included in the tariff go? It's called Datally, and you can download it for free on Google Play.

The new tool not only shows what cellular data is consumed in everyday use of the smartphone (by days, weeks and months), but also helps to optimize their use. Datally displays a list of applications that "eat" traffic more than others, and will inform at what time of day they usually do it.

After analyzing the specific usage of traffic by a specific user, the new Google application will recommend ways to reduce data consumption. The program, for example, can advise which nearby publicly available Wi-Fi networks can connect - and descriptions of networks are provided with user feedback that will help you choose the best option.

The main tool in Datally is the data saver function, which can either block the data transfer for all applications except for the currently used one, or do it selectively. All the same tasks can be solved in one way or another with the built-in tools of Android, but the necessary options are in the depths of the "Settings" menu and are known about them, often only advanced users.
Datally combines them all in an understandable and user-friendly interface, a sort of "control center" of cellular data on the smartphone. In future releases, the developers promise to add monitoring of the cellular operator's balance and warnings about excessive use of cellular data. Well, adding to the program of the Russian language will not be superfluous either.
