In the Yaroslavl region, the device "LaserMicroVision" was developed to visualize the process of blood microcirculation in the upper layers of the skin in real time.
According to the government of the region, there are no analogues of the apparatus in Russia. Equipment with such an action is only in Switzerland, but it is more cumbersome, which limits the possibilities of its use.
It is reported that the development of Yaroslavl allows you to identify the causes of pathology and determine the affected areas. Laser beam, penetrating the skin to a depth of up to two millimeters, makes it possible to calculate the speed of movement of red blood cells in a non-contact way. The effect of such a laser beam on the skin is harmless, and the patient does not feel it.
"We developed the device for more than a year. Now we are working on the development of the prototype, getting a license and writing specialized software for specific clinical situations, "said the expert of the project" LaserMicroVision ", the head of the surgical department of Yaroslavl hospital No. 7 Andrei Fomin.
According to the developers, the device can be used in any field of medicine that requires specialized studies: oncology, dermatology, traumatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery. Ease of use and compact size allow the use of equipment in both the central district hospital and the research institute.
