1st Congress of Azerbaijani scientists to be held on December 19, 2014 is co-organized by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Communication and Hi- Technologies and the Ministry of Education. In this regard, the organization of the 1st Congress of Azerbaijani Scientists was discussed at the Presidium of ANAS.
Academician-secretary of ANAS acad. Rasim Alguliyev made report on the organizing and holding the event and talked about its importance and significance. Congress aims at discussing the function and tasks of the science stemming out the requirements of the modern era and to mobilize scientific capacity of Azerbaijan, to support government policy implemented in the direction of socio-economic and cultural development of the country, and to improve ties among researchers involved in educational, business and civil society sectors, including scientists living abroad.
Afterwards, the Action Plan of the 1st Congress of Azerbaijani Scientists was discussed. Organizational, technical, logistical and other issues included in the action Plan were analyzed in details and decisions were made accordingly.
At the end of the assembly Rasim Alguliyev expressed his opinions and gave recommendations and new duties.
