Amazon is working on building a pair of smart glasses to house its Alexa voice assistant, and a home security camera that could be linked to its existing Echo connected devices to further expand their capabilities, psm7.com reports.To work, glasses are connected to the smartphone via wireless communication and, apparently, look like ordinary glasses, unlike the smart glasses of Google Glass, which are not in demand among consumers, mainly because of the unattractive appearance.

Moving Alexa into smart glasses will remove all barriers to the expansion of the voice assistant, which was previously limited exclusively to household appliances. Now you can use Alexa through the smart speaker Amazon Echo, smart refrigerators, lamps and other electronic devices. The voice assistant has thousands of "skills": users can ask Alexa to turn on music on the Echo speaker, place an order on Amazon or report the weather forecast and much more.

Alexa is available on Android and iPhone and is integrated into the Amazon shopping app. Amazon is developing its new device in a secret experimental unit called Lab126.
