The next seminar of Department No. 5.  was held at the Institute of Information Technology

The colleague of institute Xanim Karimova delivered a report on subject “The application of information technologies in the corpus linguistics”. She informed about hardware and software of information technologies, linguistic data, national corpuses and etc.

Hardware, software and linguistic tools together form the Automated work Places that necessary for automatic processing of linguistic data, she noted.

Collecting and storing source material for linguistic research is one of the important tasks of Linguistics , she said.

Mrs. Karimova spoke about the use of  linguistic corpus via computer and linguistics dealing with the development of common principles.

During the selection of texts in the creation of corpus it is necessary to comply with material structuring, fullness, efficiency, computer support, and so on. the requirements, she expressed.

In the end, the report was discussed, questions were answered.
