Japan Display Inc. has developed the world's first prototype fingerprint scanner, which is enclosed under glass and made according to capacitive technology. Thus, the option will be implemented in various devices and gadgets that need a reliable security system.

A new technology called Pixel Eyes. The size of such a fingerprint scanner is 8x8 mm. The sensor is very sensitive and reacts to the slightest touch of a person. The sensor is so accurate that it is not only able to scan the finger pad, but to install a papillary pattern on the fingers of the user.

It is noted that to confuse Pixel Eyes with Synaptics technology from Vivo is not worth it. The second option is just a built-in scanner under the screen, and the development of JDI is a separate active area for scanning fingerprints.

The first deliveries of such components can begin as early as next year.
