Google confessed that e-mail user information has been handed over to other users 2018-09-25 17:35:00 / INTERESTING INFORMATION

Representatives of Google confirmed that the data of users are accessible to outside developers of applications. This is reported by the Reuters agency.

It turned out that various mail and advertising extensions in Gmail collect information about users. In accordance with Google's privacy policy, these companies should inform users about the collection and processing of their data.

However, the US authorities found that not all developers inform users that they are reading their correspondence or pass on information to third parties. Legislators asked the IT-giant for a list of companies-violators. The management of Google sent a letter to US senators, which reported that the company uses automatic checks and reports of security researchers. The employees did not give an answer to the question posed.

The authorities plan to clarify this issue at a hearing on September 26. On this day, security issues with the senators will be discussed by representatives of Google, Apple, AT & T and Twitter.

Earlier it became known about the secret deal between Google and MasterCard. The payment system for several years gave the IT giant the payment data of users. With their help, Google analytics determined the effectiveness of advertising.
