Aire: patrol drone for at home 2017-09-21 15:59:00 / INTERESTING INFORMATION

The startup company Aevena develops a flying robot called "Aire" - an "intelligent" tracking system for the home, through which the user can receive a "live broadcast" of what is happening in his apartment.

Aire is equipped with four ultrasonic sensors and a 3D depth camera and, according to the company, can detect obstacles in any direction and avoid them; The main camera with 4K resolution can shoot in the dark.

Initially, the device will be controlled mainly using a mobile application on a smartphone (connected to a drone via Wi-Fi), but Aevena writes that offline mode will be available when software updates are released. The head of the company notes that in the future the drone will be able to "patrol" the apartment on its own.

The surface of the device is made of soft cloth, which helps to avoid severe damages in the case of collisions of the drone with surrounding objects. This is especially important in the case of "drones" working at home.

Aire will also support voice control through the virtual assistant Alexa.

At the moment, the startup has collected about 22,000 dollars (for the stated goal of $ 50,000). More information about Aire can be found on the official page of the project at Kickstarter.
